Sanjiv is the inaugural CEO of HanRoy, leading the delivery of a world-class project pipeline for Hancock Prospecting and join-venture partners. Sanjiv brings a sharp overarching focus to Hancock Prospecting’s project development strategy, having played a key role in the delivery of the Roy Hill mega-project before being appointed CEO of Atlas Iron.
At Atlas he led the company through a strategic review, formalising its multi-pillar approach to stabilising and maximising the value from its multiple orebodies. Sanjiv has a long and successful history within Hancock, having been Project Director and Chief Operating Officer during construction of Roy Hill integrated mine, rail and port project, while overseeing numerous new mine developments.
Sanjiv has more than 34 years’ experience operating large complex developments and working with international organisations in Korea, Japan, China and Australia. He is an electrical engineer with an MBA, has been admitted as a Fellow to the Institution of Engineers Australia, and a Fellow to the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Sanjiv also holds professional memberships with the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Project Management Institute. He was awarded Project Director of the Year 2016 by the Project Management Institute.
