Mick is an experienced professional with a career spanning over 30 years across the functions of health, safety, environment, risk management, human resources and approvals. His expertise spans both project and operational roles in civil, mining, processing, rail and port activities. Mick has worked in various state jurisdictions in Australia and in South America.
He has extensive experience working across the lifecycle of major billion dollar projects (CAPEX to AUS$10 billion) and the complexity and ambiguity often associated with large international scale projects involving multiple parties.
Mick has held both senior corporate and site-based roles over many years during which time he has led both small and large teams. Majority of Mick’s project work has involved representing the owners’ team, typically on EPC type projects. His most recent project delivered industry leading injury rates during construction, commissioning through to care, custody and control.
Mick has extensive experience in developing and implementing fit for purpose HSE systems and establishing governance and assurance frameworks to ensure they are effective, and from a project perspective, mitigating the exposure to variations and claims.
